Reward!!

I'm inviting everyone to become a teacher by sharing double and triple plays that educate everyone on the various ways to stack deals, use catalinas + coupons, store coupons with manufacturer coupons, etc. Please pick a deal that you are proud of, that requires more than one step. Take some pictures of the various steps, like.....

1) Newspaper showing the sale price
2) Manufacturer coupons used
3) Catalina generated
4) Final stockpile of products earned

Write up your deal with step by step instructions. Take a picture to illustrate at least two of the steps. (Final picture can feature people also.) Write an introductory paragraph about your deal as if you are teaching someone who knows nothing about coupons.
"I'm going to show you step by step how I got 10 boxes of microwave popcorn for free and also earned a pedometer for doing it."

Step #1: I spotted Act II popcorn on sale for $.99 in my Kroger sales ad. (Picture)

Step #2: I found ten .55 coupons in my coupon file. (Picture)

Step #3: I doubled the coupons to get the boxes for free at checkout.

Step #4: I sent for the free pedometer for 5 UPCs using a form found on the box and the cash register receipt.

Final Tally: I ended up with 10 free boxes of popcorn and a free pedometer. (Picture of writer or children with popcorn boxes).

Tricks used:  sale price, double coupons, mail-in rebate.

You get the idea. I'd like to run several of these in each issue, and post them on a new link on the website that will be available to all.
Of course, there is a reward!! Take your pick:

1) $5 check from RC! or

2) 2 free issues added to your print subscription. or

3) 2 months added to your on-line-only subscription plus a copy of the print issue your article is in. or

3) Free ad to run for 3 months in the print issue, up to 40 words.

Pictures need to be focused and clear. You will have to plan ahead. It's best to pick a deal before you actually do it, so you can take pictures of the coupons you are planning to use. You may even want to take your camera to the store and take a picture of the items on the shelf especially if there are sale signs. Have fun with this. Include your children or you in the final tally picture so they can enjoy seeing themselves in the magazine. You can snail mail your "Teach Me The Tricks" article, or you can email with digital picture attached, to both
easter@refundcents.com AND refundcents@yahoo.com
Be sure to include your full name and address and your choice of reward. Only your name (or initials - your choice) and state will run with the article in the magazine and on the website. Address for snail mail is:

"Teach Me The Tricks"
RC, Box 969
Bountiful, UT 84011

There is no deadline right now. I'd like this to be an ongoing feature if it works out and helps people.
